Isn't it a blessing that we are constantly learning? God equips us with opportunities every day to understand Him better and I am so grateful. I had such an opportunity early this morning.
I have been asked to guest write on Jeannie Fulbright's new website about our adventures in her Zoology 3 course (Exploring Creation with Zoology 3: Land Animals of the Sixth Day). I cannot even begin to tell you how honored I am to have been considered. As I was perusing her posts, I came across the one entitled, "Elementary Science" (at http://www.jeanniefulbright.com/2015/10/elementary-science/). Reading through it, I was tickled to see that she had used the same quote that has been the banner for this blog for over seven years: "Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire." HOWEVER ... she credited the quote to Plutarch, while all this time, I have displayed the authorship of it to W. B. Yeats. YIPES! Could I have been wrong all these years? How embarrassing!
I did a little research (https://quoteinvestigator.com/2013/03/28/mind-fire/amp/) and sure enough, Plutarch is the author! So, needless to say, I have edited the above quote.
While I have your attention, head on over to Jeannie's site! It is at http://www.jeanniefulbright.com/, and it is fabulous! I will be guest writing soon. Until then, I will be catching up on some posts here today, including Lesson 7 of Zoology 3, "Rodents and the Rest."
Thank you for your patience and faithfulness!
