Yesterday, we met with our homeschool group to do a book study, which my friend, Amber, hosted. She chose to read to the kids If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Joffe Numeroff. This is what we did ...
Here was her cute setup for the kids!
(I adored her poster!)
After lunch, we got into the book! Here is Amber, reading to the group.
After the book, it was time to sample three different kinds of cookies (there would be a vote for the favorite). She gave the kids chocolate chip cookies, Snickerdoodles, and peanut butter cookies!
Maggie's vote was for the chocolate chip!
(Here was the poster Amber made to keep a tally of the votes.)
The votes are in! Chocolate chip was the winner!
After the voting was complete, we made a paper bag mouse craft, using a brown lunch bag, construction paper, crayons, scissors and glue. This one was Amber's example, which was super cute!
For the final activity, we completed these writing prompt sheets.
Cute, Amber! Thanks for the fun morning!
