'How 'bout them apples?'

What a day!  We got up super early to meet our friends, Ms. Anna, Leah, and Lucy, to head to Atlanta for our field trip to the Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta.  We had such a great time!  We saw The Ugly Duckling on stage -- VERY cute! -- and got to tour the museum and make a marionette in the puppet studio.  We will definitely be going back!  Although I wasn't allowed to take photos of the exhibits or the production, I managed to get a few before and after.  Enjoy!

For the trip, I added an apple snack in honor of our study of apples this month.  I started with three apples, each one a different color.
Then, after a few minutes with my trusty melon baller, we had polka-dotted apples!  (Dip the balls in lemon juice before stuffing back into another apple.)
 On the road!
 We made it!
Here, Leah and Lucy are running the show!
 Time for a snack!
 Leah, with her marionette!
Mags' feet match the duck's!  :)
In the puppet studio, we made our own Ugly Duckling marionettes!
 Busy at work!
Ready to put on a show!

Today, we:
1.  We went to see The Ugly Duckling show at the Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta with Ms. Anna, Leah, and Lucy.
Daily (Calendar/Weather):
1.  We completed our calendar activities, putting today's date up on the calendar, and discussing the month, what day of the week it is, what date, what season, and what kind of weather we're having.
1.  We made the 'How About These Apples?' as seen in Parents magazine, October 2009, page 190, for snack.

So, that wraps up our day!  The other few things that I had planned will have to wait until tomorrow, so expect another post over the weekend!  Have a good one!

P.S.  We rolled over the 7,000 mark on hits this morning, so THANK YOU!  :)
