(Part 2 of 2)

So, here are the photos from our second half of the school day.  (Yo Gabba Gabba was a nice break for both of us!)

The rundown for today:
Social:
1.  We went to the Toddler Time story time at the Columbus Library where we learned about opposites.
Letter 'E':
1.  We did the 'E' page of our letter book.
Fall:
1.  We read Apples and Pumpkins by Anne Rockwell.
2.  We read Animals in Fall by Martha E. H. Rustad.
3.  We read The Very Best Pumpkin by Mark Kimball Moulton.
4.  We read Up, Up, Up!  It's Apple-Picking Time by Jody Fickes Shapiro.
5.  We made a hand-stamped fall tree with a print of the side of our hands as the trunks and fingerprints as the fall leaves.
6.  We did a leaf lace-up card.
7.  We made 'Aut-Yum Leaves' (a leaf snack).
Transportation (Cars, Trucks, and Traffic Signs and Symbols):
1.  We read Things That Go (a Lift-the-Flap book).
2.  We read Mama and Me and the Model T by Faye Gibbons.
3.  We read Trucking Across America by Michael Teitelbaum.
4.  We read Truck Driver Tom by Monica Wellington.
5.  We read Truck Duck by Michael Rex.
6.  We watched the Barney: Fun on Wheels DVD that we borrowed from Netflix.
7.  We read the poem, 'Traffic Light' by Shel Silverstein in his Where the Sidewalk Ends (page 121).
8.  We made a Paper Plate Stop Sign.
9.  We played 'Red Light, Green Light' with small red and green signs.
10.  We did crayon rubbings of the license plate on our car.
11.  We looked at some maps, then made one together, of her wagon route, using her matchbox cars on the roads we made.

Tomorrow is our last day to study the letter 'E' and fall, but we continue our transportation theme with a focus on buses, and we start a study of the book, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, in time to see the production of it next week at The River Center!  See you again tomorrow!
