More Christmas Photos

Here are some more photos from Christmas!

Leaving cookies and milk (and carrots for the reindeer) out for Santa on Christmas Eve ...
Christmas Day ... he had snacked!
 Santa was here!
He accidentally left a button off his coat on our fireplace grate!
 Checking out the button ...
Opening gifts next to her 'cousin,' Lily ...
 One cool chick!  :)
Uncle Steven was gifted with the navy bean plant we grew from our germination experiment a few weeks ago!

Only one more week of break until we resume our homeschooling full-swing!  Check back with us!

Maggie's First Movie!

In her Advent calendar this past Saturday, Maggie learned that she was going to get to see her first movie in a theater -- Curious George's A Very Monkey Christmas!  We all had the best time and she promptly said after the lights came back up, "Next time, we're coming back to see a robot movie!"  Funny girl.

Candy Land!

Today, after Preschool Adventures at the library, we drove through the snow and came home to crack open her Candy Land game for the first time!  She had a lot of fun and it was really special for me because this is one of the games my dad would always play with me at her age.  And what a great game for color reinforcement!  Some photos:

She picked the red gingerbread man, of course!  (It's her favorite color!)

Thank you, Dad, for all those rounds we played!  I love you.

An Update!

Here we are, enjoying our break and doing all things Christmas!  Maggie has been asking about homeschooling, but I just keep reassuring her that this is our break and we will resume after the New Year.  In the meantime, we are still filling our days with fun Christmas activities.  Here are some photos:

At the library's Preschool Adventures, working on her snowman picture, after insisting that her hat stay on!
At her buddy's house (Paisley), painting snow globes ...
And making Christmas trees out of ice cream cones, green frosting, and Fruity Pebbles!  (Great idea, Sus!)
The master at work ...
 And then, tasting her creation!
Paisley!  (She didn't want her picture taken.)
Calling her buddy, Jayden, to thank her for the beautiful cross necklace!
Putting up her Christmas window clings ...
Ta-da!  (The table got some, too!)
Coloring some ornaments for the tree ...
Playing with her Santa's Workshop playset ...
Building materials for our gingerbread house!
 Construction commences!
 Looking good!
This picture is a bit blurry, but it cracks me up because of Al's expression while Maggie dumps on the sprinkles!
Shaking the sprinkles off her hands ...
 All done!
Our Elf on the Shelf, Pippin, has been quite creative lately in his search for good viewing spots!

More photos to come soon!  Thanks for checking in with us!
